My mom had it tough, and I didn't make it any easier for her. She was hard on me at times, but even that was out of love, and her fear of where I was heading. God made moms and dads to love, yet sometimes they blow it, sometimes terribly - we're broken in sin - family is not what it is supposed to be.
But, even in God's family there should be the love of a mother's care (2:7) and a dad's strength (2:10-11). How have you seen it? What could it look like?

I don't have anything to post about mothers except God Bless Them!I miss calling mine on Mother's Day.
I mostly just wanted to say thanks for the great music last Sunday. It was very worshipful. One of the best musical worhship services we have had in a long time.
I have seen it as people's hearts are changed by serving in children's ministries. Even if they're not parents themselves, they experience a piece of the love and tenderness that children evoke.
"hearts changed by children's ministries"
That's a great example of how we can be family and do family in the church. Then, even when are own parents are not there, others can be those channels of God's grace and we can grow together. Glory!
